SimpleLink™ CC2642R device is a 2.4GHz wireless microcontroller (MCU), which supports low-power Bluetooth® 5.2 and proprietary 2.4GHz applications. The device is optimized and can be used for low-power wireless communication and advanced detection in building security system, HVAC, asset tracking, medical care, wired network, portable electronic products, home theater and entertainment and networking peripheral markets, as well as applications requiring industrial performance. The outstanding features of the device include: support for Bluetooth 5.2 features: LE coded PHY (long distance), LE 2Mbit PHY (high speed), broadcast expansion, multiple broadcast sets, CSA#2, direction finding, and backward compatibility and support for Bluetooth 4.2 and early low-power specifications. Fully qualified Bluetooth 5.2 software protocol stack (attached with SimpleLink™ LOWPOWER F2 Software Development Kit (SDK)). Extend the battery life of wireless applications, and the low standby current is 0.94µA when the RAM is fully maintained. It supports industrial temperature, and the minimum standby current is 11µA at 105 C.. Advanced sensing is realized by the programmable and autonomous ultra-low power sensor controller CPU, which has the function of fast wake-up. For example, the sensor controller can perform 1Hz ADC sampling when the system current is 1A. Low SER (soft error rate) FIT (time base failure) can prolong the service life and will not cause interference to the industrial market. SRAM parity check function is always on, which can prevent damage caused by potential radiation events. The software-controlled dedicated radio controller (Arm® Cortex®-M0) provides flexible low-power RF transceiver functions and supports multiple physical layers and RF standards (such as real-time positioning (RTLS) technology). Excellent radio sensitivity and robustness (selectivity and blocking) performance, suitable for low-power Bluetooth (-105dBm for 125kbps LE coded PHY). CC2642R device is a part of SimpleLink™ MCU platform, including Wi-Fi, low-power Bluetooth, Thread, Zigbee, Sub-1GHzMCU and host MCU. CC2642R is a part of the scalable product family (flash memory is 32kB to 704kB), with pin-to-pin compatible packaging options, and sharing a simple and easy-to-use general development environment, which includes a single core software development kit (SDK) and a rich toolset.
