TW8834 is a highly integrated LCD video processor that integrates many key functions required to create a multi-purpose LCD display system into one package. This includes a high-quality 2D comb shaped NTSC/PAL/SECAM video decoder that supports single ended and differential CVBS signals, LVDS and TTL digital input interfaces, high-quality scaler and de interlacer, font OSD engine, and LVDS, TTL, or TCON output panel interfaces. TW8834 can support input resolutions up to 1080p and drive LCD panels with resolutions up to 1366 x 768. The video processing capabilities of TW8834 include arbitrary H/V scaling, panoramic scaling, image mirroring, image adjustment and enhancement, black and white stretching, etc. This device can support fast boot system requirements and provide stability and reliability for the system, as it is a hard wired solution that can synchronize to the video source and display images on the LCD within less than 0.5 seconds after startup. The feature set and versatility of this device make it an ideal solution for in car LCD display applications.
