The DRV883x device series provides an integrated motor driver solution for cameras, consumer products, toys, and other low-voltage or battery-powered motion control applications. This device is capable of driving a DC motor or other devices (such as solenoids). The output driver module consists of N-channel power MOSFETs configured as an H-bridge to drive the motor windings. An internal charge pump is used to generate the required gate drive voltage.
The DRV883x device series is capable of providing an output current of up to 1.8A. It operates with a motor supply voltage ranging from 0 to 11V, and a device supply voltage within the range of 1.8V to 7V.
The DRV8837 features a PWM (IN/IN) input interface, while the DRV8838 device boasts a PH-EN input interface. Both interfaces are compatible with industry-standard devices.
It also provides internal shutdown functions for overcurrent protection, short circuit protection, under-voltage lockout, and overheat protection.
